Proposal in Harrisburg takes aim at Puppy Mills

A proposed bill in the PA House and Senate would outlaw the sale of puppy mill dogs in pet stores and flea markets. This bill would require pet stores to get dogs and cats from shelters and rescues.

And it would require licensed kennels to include their license number in advertisements, which the sponsors say would help potential buyers differentiate between licensed and unlicensed kennels.
