A Special Performance Audit of the Department of Agriculture Dog Law Program

For years, UAPM has pointed out the Bureau of Dog Law’s failure to enforce its own regulations.  In “A Special Performance Audit of the Department of Agriculture Dog Law Program”, Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene A. DePasquale makes it abundantly clear that from 2008 through 2013 (covering 4 years of the Rendell administration and 2 years of the Corbett administration) the Bureau of Dog Law failed miserably in its mission to uphold the law and protect dogs.  Both administrations appointed personnel who made decisions that contradicted the missions of the Bureau.  Take a moment to read the audit along with recommendations to correct most of the existing problems.
A summary of Auditor General DePasquale’s findings can be found here.
